about me

I've been a proud member of Lighthouse Christian Church since 2007 and have deep roots in FDL County. As a licensed professional counselor, I founded HOPE Counseling to offer compassionate support and guidance, helping individuals navigate life's challenges while embodying the love of Christ. I hold a Master's Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and am a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Recently married, I cherish this new chapter in my life alongside my two wonderful, grown daughters.

methods

I use an integrated approach for treatment and healing that is tailored to the needs of each client.  Treatment modalities include, but are not limited to, trauma-informed care, cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, mindfulness, relaxation techniques and solution-focused therapy.

first appointment

During your first appointment, you can expect to spend about 90 minutes with me.  During this time, I will:

  • Ask questions to get to know you
  • Ask you to complete paperwork for your personal and confidential file
  • Ask questions to understand your problems and the reasons you are seeking counseling
  • Collaborate with you to form a treatment plan

Lighthouse Christian Church members and regular attenders:
  • Initial appt. (90 mins.) = $55
  • Follow-up appt. (60 mins.) = $35
  • Follow-up appt. (30 mins.) = $25
 
Community members:
  • Initial appt. (90 mins.) = $75
  • Follow-up appt. (60 mins.) = $55
  • Follow-up appt. (30 mins.) = $35​ 
 
HOPE Counseling does not accept insurance.  Payment is expected in full at the time of each appointment.
50% discount available for active duty, retired or separated military; law enforcement, EMT/paramedics and firefighters.  Others in similar professions considered.
